Located in the Vaterhaus, this library is dedicated exclusively to research and the study of Fr. Joseph Kentenich’s legacy. Over the years, we have collected, catalogued and preserved this valuable historical material to make it available to our community and beyond.

Our catalogue contains more than 7,000 volumes organised into three main areas:

• Talks, correspondence, essays and retreats by the founder, available both in published books and in manuscript form.
• Works that detail the historical context in which Fr. Kentenich and the movement developed, including the bibliographical sources he himself used and an extensive collection of secondary literature.
• A highly significant documentary collection dedicated specifically to Mariology and contemporary history (Zeitgeschichte).

Although the core of the collection is in German, the library holds a significant collection of Schoenstatt and Kentenich publications in Spanish, English and other languages, reflecting the global spread of our charism.
