KENTENICH MAGISTER

‘May the charism we have received bear fruit in the lives of our peoples’

The Kentenich Magister is an advanced programme offering in-depth study of the thought and practice of Fr Joseph Kentenich. It is designed as an opportunity to reaffirm Schoenstatt’s mission, responding with creative fidelity to the challenges facing the Church and our times.

Methodological Pillars

The program unfolds through a dynamic that balances academic rigour with community exchange, underpinned by four pillars:

  •     A space for encounter that enriches the community’s international and global perspective.
  •     A process that combines personal reflection with the richness of group dialogue and mutual support.
  •     An in-depth study of fundamental texts and processes, open to dialogue with other contemporary charisms.
  •     Observation and critical analysis of one’s own pastoral work to inform future action.

Structure and Requirements

  •     Duration: Two years of continuous training (in person and online).
  •     As a result of the research process and in line with their personal interests, each participant develops and presents a dissertation at the end of the course.

History and International Outlook

  • 2019—2021: First version implemented in Spanish
  • 2024—2026: Version currently under development, delivered in English
  • 2026—2028: Current edition in Spanish, recently launched

INTERNATIONAL STUDY SEMINARS

We create spaces for theoretical and pastoral reflection through in-person meetings in various regions:

  •     Buenos Aires 2024: Study seminar focusing on the milestone of 31 May.
  •     Santiago 2026: Study seminar centred on the theme of Mater populi fidelis.
