On 18 July 2026, the Sion Garb Reception of 11 novices took place at the Novitiate in Bangalore, India. The ceremony was presided over by Fr. Alexandre Awi Mello, General Superior of the Schoenstatt Fathers.
The celebration was graced by the presence of the Provincial Superiors of the Providence and MTA Provinces, Fr. Paul Panamkulam and Fr. Jose Amaladoss. Fathers from both provinces, together with sisters and guests from neighbouring communities, joined the novices in this joyful and prayerful celebration.
A significant moment of the liturgy was the solemn installation of the Symbol of the Holy Spirit in the house chapel by the novices. Centered on the theme, “To Be Purified and Unified in Sion,” the celebration invited the novices to deepen their commitment to the Sion ideal through a life of inner purification, unity, and openness to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
The reception of the Sion Garb marks an important milestone in the formation journey of the novices. By receiving this sign of their vocation, they officially begin their path toward Sion, embracing the mission and spirituality of the Schoenstatt Fathers with renewed dedication and hope.
We congratulate the eleven novices on this meaningful step and entrust them to the loving care of the Blessed Mother as they continue their formation and discernment.
