Home for Elderly Fathers in Córdoba, Argentina

For some time, the Province “Sion del Padre” (Argentina, Paraguay, Italy and Nigeria) had been grappling with a vital question: How can we properly care for our elderly Fathers? We wanted to provide them with the care they need without them losing the warmth of home, and above all, to express our gratitude for their lives generously dedicated to the priestly ministry.

In the midst of this search, a “small miracle” occurred: the house next to ours in Cerro de las Rosas, Córdoba, Argentina, came up for sale. Thanks to the generosity of many, we were able to purchase it and transform it into a space adapted to their needs.

We decided to name it “Casa San José” (St Joseph’s House). Who better than the guardian of the Holy Family to care for our elderly Fathers? On 19 March 2026, on his feast day and in the presence of our Superior General, Fr Alexandre Awi Mello, we blessed this new home. Today, Fr Alberto Eronti is its first resident.

The house has three fully equipped rooms and its own chapel, an essential space so that, even when the weather or their health prevents them from reaching the shrine, they may never be deprived of the intimacy of prayer. Casa San José is now a reality and a living sign of gratitude towards those who gave everything for Jesus and his people.
